My rescued greyhound passed away this Just A Girl Who Loves Basset Hounds Dogs Shirt morning. She was a beautiful red brindle. This absolutely breaks my heart right now, because if it wasn’t for location I would take her home tonight.I don’t understand why. Lurchers or greyhounds overlooked so often and yet they are the most wonderful dogs. Much better than a yapping ‘cute’ fluff ball. Give me a hound any day.Really feel for this poor dog. However I think questions need to be asked of the shelter. They have had this beauty for 4 years since a pup and yet she has “challenging” behaviours. Experienced home required to continue her training. Sounds like the training hasn’t even started. Hope she gets the loving home she deserves soon.We have a lockdown rescue lurcher and she is just a wonderful animal in all aspects we have 9 grandchildren and she is great. She is also a therapy dog I would love to adopt her but no link has been given to assist. If relevant shelter wants to get in touch, I would love to give her a home.My old lurcher Lily looked very similar! She was 10 and had been at the Blue Cross much longer than any of the other dogs with no interest. Obviously I took her and had nearly 5 fabulous more years with her. She changed my life at a time when I very much needed help and I think of her every day BBC
