However, not only India, 58 countries in the world have banned corporal punishment. I think the time has come for Taiwan to think about this seriously. Children are not toys. There are many more ways to develop a child in a healthy way. Though parents sometimes beat (lightly) or shout at the children, it is considered bad parenting. Im very very disheartened to read the article! Very sad! Please help him. This is clearly nothing to do with judo. The boy was just in a judo class when he was physically abused. That man knew exactly what he was doing and I hope he’s been arrested for attempted murder. That’s not part of regular training. This adult continued to throw the child after he was on the floor and unable to stand. The child had already begged the older student to stop and the teacher took over. This is not normal training. What part of judo are you trying to teach by throwing an unconscious child? How was the child’s uncle there filming but didn’t stop it??. Why no one stopped him? Everyone witnessed a murder and what they did was record? And how could that child continue to beat him without compassion? There are many things here that are very wrong. This is very disturbing and sa d news and my heartfelt sympathies are we the family. This however has not taken place in the UK. We have very stringent laws and Duty of care procedures to ensure that all ages are well taken care of in all our full/Contact sports. This particular Coach has dishonoured the discipline and himself. He has bullied and Failed his student and in either way should face the law.Not only against human being standards but also against any actual dojo I know of. We were always afraid of hurting a younger/lower belt. If we did, we got in trouble. Super sad that this happened and that multiple others were taught it was ok. BBC
