Worshipping saints or fantasy elves is equivalent…If she thought it was St. Anthony, then who cares what it was ‘supposed’ to be…It is sad that people focus on images than the Lord Jesus as prescribed in the Bible. The Bible says “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”(1 Timothy 2:5). A Christian focussing on these images is a deception and unbiblical.People should never pray to a statue anyway..that’s not Catholic..that’s pagan idolatry. A photo, painting, icon or statue is to remind you of the person like photos, etc., in our homes. We don’t pray to the item. Mercy. BBC
