I wouldn’t feel happy taking youngsters there at the moment – too risky.They’re having a Magical Summer Covidfest Celebration. Our positivity rate has quadrupled in Florida in the last month, deaths and hospitalizations are also way up.

Governments on the other hand see loss of life as a small collateral damage worth having for the economy being saved in the short term and tax money coming in, not to mention savings on care homes and health costs and infrastructure. They don’t worry about the workforce because they can always import a cheap workforce which has the added advantage of ready scapegoats.BBC
